AOC Wine Bar

AOC Wine Bar is a hip, upscale wine bar and restaurant in Los Angeles on 3rd Street right between the Grove and Beverly Center shopping malls. This is not just a restaurant with a good wine list. As the name implies (A.O.C. stands for "appellation d'origine contrôllée", a wine term for the classification system for wine regions in France), this wine bar and restaurant was built from the ground up with a focus on wine in mind.

AOC sports a full wine bar where you can sit and simply enjoy a wide range of wines by the glass, off the menu of which changes frequently. Small plates are served at the wine bar as well as at the cool little cheese and charcuterie bar which serves great cheeses, sausage and pâté plates from their cheese cave. Mmmmmm. Cheese.

In addition to all this, there are many full tables for full dinner menus with great wine pairings for most of the gourmet dishes.

Be forewarned, AOC is nearly always busy! It is a happenin' place and the wine bar and small cheese bar fill up quickly on most nights. For dinner, reservations are a must!
