Los Angeles WineLos Angeles Wine? You mean there is wine produced in Los Angeles?
Well, yes, but not much, although there are a few wineries in the area. But this page is devoted to all things wine in the LA area. In addition to our love for exploring our city, we are certified food and wine nuts. We both love great food and wine, but Josh is particularly interested in wine. OK, he's a wine snob. But just a bit. (Not true - he wrote that, he really is a huge snob.) We can appreciate a great wine whether it is $5 or $500. You don't have to be in Northern California to find great wine. There are a slew of great wine shops, many of which hold fun wine tasting events weekly or more often. There are also some excellent wine bars. Whether you are into domestic wines or imported wines, there is no problem finding them in LA. The aim of this Los Angeles Wine section is to give you a short cut to information and reviews of the wine related shops, restaurants, events and destinations we enjoy in our beloved city.
 LA is a big place but there are a number of outstanding wine stores throughout. Whether you want a great bottle for a special occasion or just to stock up with good everyday wines you can find the right wine shop for you.
Here are reviews of several of the best spread out throughout the LA area with information about the types of wines they focus on. There really is something for everyone and in every price range. You just have to be willing to check them out!

Wine Bars in Los Angeles A wine bar is a bar serving a wide selection of wines by the glass and/or bottle so you can sample several. These generally are "wine only" (some do serve beer) and don't serve hard liquor. Many restaurants also have an extensive wine bar with a wide selection so we've included a couple of those.
