Silverlake Wine

Silverlake Wine is a small but well presented wine shop in, you guessed it, Silverlake. Silverlake is a popular artsy district in LA. It does have a bit of that hipster vibe nowadays but thats ok.

Their focus, as stated on their website, is "boutique, small production wine in all price ranges from around the globe". The selection is small, but certainly eclectic. While you might not be able to find a specific wine you are looking for, or even any producers you've heard of unless you know a lot about wine, they have dozens of interesting selections that may just wake up your palate to something new. Therefore, this is not likely the place to go if you are looking for a specific wine or familiar labels. But if you are as artsy and hip as Silverlake, then maybe you'll enjoy the unique selection.

Silverlake Wine offers frequent tastings as well as small flights of featured wines. These tastings are quite popular and the place is hopping! They are also quite inexpensive, ranging from $12 to $20 per person. Check their website for up-to-date lists of the specific tasting info.

On Sundays at 3pm they have a relatively structured tasting with a presentation of 4 to 5 wines paired with finger foods that will complement the wines.

On Monday nights from 5pm to 9pm there is a laid back flight of 3 distinctly different wines paired with artisan cheeses, olives and bread.

On Thursday nights from 5pm to 9pm they present three wines from a particular category, offering both white and red flights.
